We are looking forward to working together to help your child be the best that they can!

We hope the information below helps but you are welcome to contact us on our class email at anytime : year3@horwichparish.net

Homework is given out on Friday in a red file. Each week the children will be provided with English and maths homework to complete and return at the latest by the following Thursday.

Children have been given an 'Incredible Reader' booklet. Please can you sign the booklet in the correct row to show that your child has read at least three times a week a book of their choice.  Please can children bring in a book of their choice from home to school which they can read at different points throughout the week. we want to encourage a love of reading.

Also, the children have been given a multiplication card. It  would be great if you could improve the fast recall of each times table.

Weekly spellings will be given to the children on Wednesday and tested on the following Wednesday. Please can children ensure they have their Pirate spelling books in school.

On PE days, the children can come to school  in their PE kit . Both classes have PE on Monday and Wednesday.

Our project title for this half term is entitled 'Stone age to Iron age'.  At the front of the homework file, we have included a curriculum map of the areas being covered connected to this project. We hope this helps to ensure you are aware of what your child is learning this half term.

Many thanks for your support.

Best wishes.
