Year 2 2025 - 2026

Welcome to Year Two

Please make sure your child brings a coat, planner and reading book with them to school. We will send reading books home and will be encouraging the children to choose a book from the class library, to develop a love of reading.

Children will continue to have fruit during morning break but if you wish for your child to bring their own snack this must be healthy and nut free.

On PE days, the children can come to school in their PE kit.

2B have their PE days Tuesday and Friday.

2M have their PE days Monday and Wednesday.

In Summer Half Term one, we will be exploring what life is like in Shanghai in Geography, designing and creating our own pouches in DT, and learning how to read, follow and edit structure in Music. In Science, we will be investigating how plants grow and what they need to stay healthy, while in RE we will be discussing what it means to belong to a faith community.
